GOLF (A poem by Gary Bingham) The competition is everything. To think about winning visualizing each shot some with confidence others less so ending the game with feelings of satisfaction of a round well played that is the goal looking forward to a new club purchase that will solve a particular problem studying a new technique that will cure a particular swing fault Basking in the glory of success Licking wounds of a simple shot poorly played Grateful thoughts of having companionship of playing with others Enjoying the prospect of expressing praise for others well placed shots Ignoring others poorly played shots All in all, refraining from thinking about vocation(s) which Is the overall purpose of playing the game. The game requires total absorption and focus to excel. This is its value.
